At O'Hare International Airport in Chicago 1

January 2003, at Narita International Airport.
I was going back to the US from Japan, after my new year's holiday.
As I mentioned in the previous article, my husband had gone back to the US already, so I tried to do it only by myself.
Usually, Washington Dulles International Airport has a direct flight from Narita airport by ANA(All Nippon Air Lines). However I couldn't get it, so I took a connecting flight at O'Hare international airport in Chicago at that time.
Yeah, it was the frist time for me to make a connection in foreign country only by myself.
My English is okay?
HAHAHA! of course Noooooo!!!
I thought it would work well.
"I can do it only by myself even if my English is not good! " I thought so at that time.

2003年１月 成田空港にて。
正月休みを終え、私はアメリカへ戻るところでした。前述の通り、一足先に旦那はアメリカへと戻っていったので、一人でアメリカへと戻ろうとしていた。
通常、ワシントン・ダレス空港へは成田から全日空の直行便がある。しかしながら、この時は直行便が取れなかったので、シカゴのオヘア空港での乗り継ぎ便を取った。外国で、一人で飛行機を乗り継ぐのは私にとって初めての経験だった。
英語？ あはは〜。もちろんダメですよ。 なんとかなるんじゃない？と私は思っていた。
英語が分からなくても乗り継ぎなんて一人でできるもん！と思っていた。

January, 2003.As I told you before, I had stayed at my husband's home in Tokyo during new year's holiday. But my hometown is not Tokyo, so I had no friends in Tokyo yet at that time. Moreover, keep doing household chores between the U.S. and Japan fighting jet lag, and following his family's custom in New year was complicated for me.
No time to rest.....
No one helps me.....
No internet, No friends in Tokyo.......
Sleepy.... Sleepy..... sleepy......
Ahhhhhhhhh----------!!!! It made me very stressful so that I thought I was going to be crazy.
After holiday, I supposed to back to America with my husband, but I was soooooo tired and stressful that I extended my stay in Japan for more 1 week. Yes! I remained in Japan.
After saying good-bye to my husband, I went back to my hometown.
Do you think I missed my husband?
HAHAHA!! I was like a threadless kite.
I wonder if English has a same expression, but going to somewhere as he likes without any control is called as "a threadless kite" in Japan.
I met my colleagues and we had a Nomikai party (drinking alcohol party.) at izakaya almost every night. We stayed until late having a girls talk over alcohol. I had a really good time with drunken fellows. Thanks to them, my stress had gone perfectly,
although I was blamed by my mother and brother for lacking of a moral as a married woman.

２００３年 １月。
前述の通り、正月の為一時帰国をし、東京の旦那の実家で過ごした訳ですが、私の実家は東京ではないので友達がいない。さらに海をまたいでの家事、彼の家の習慣通りに正月をこなしたりするのは非常に面倒。（何が楽しゅうて、時差ぼけと戦いながら海をまたいで家事をし続けにゃならんのだ！？ やつがしら？ は？何ですかそれ？やつがしらを煮る前にやつあたりするよ？）
休む間もないし、誰も手伝っちゃあくれないし、インターネットもなければ友達もいない。。。
正月休みが明けたら、本当は一緒にアメリカへ帰るわけだったけど、もんのすごいストレスが溜まっていたので私一人滞在を１週間延長し、実家に帰った。
旦那と離れて寂しかった？ いやいや、、それからはも〜う、私は糸の切れた凧状態。
毒嫁は、ほとんど毎夜元職場の仲間達と飲み歩いた。ガールズトークは楽しいね。夜遅くまで喋り、そして飲んだくれた。おかげでスッキリしました。
もちろん母と兄からは、既婚女性が毎晩飲んだくれるとは何たる不道徳！と非難されましが。

Here is the biggest fish market in Tokyo. But buildings are getting decrepit, so it has a plan for moving to other place.
A whole tuna is going to be cut into a piece.

Kabuki-za / 歌舞伎座
Traditional Japanese theater. Sadly, this historical building has been announced plans to raze because of decrepitness. It will be changed for one of the multi-functional building.
老朽化により姿を消そうとしている歌舞伎座。複合ビルの一部になるんだとか。またひとつ歴史的建造物が消えてゆく。

When we visited to the museum, an exhibition about an encroachment of waters by North Korea was held.

The end of 2002 to the beginning of 2003.I went back to Japan with my husband to spend new year's holiday. It was after an interval of 7 month for me.
I felt strange I could understand someone's chat and signboards easily. Of course, it was used Japanese. While I was in America, I couldn't take it very soon. I might I took all of it as just sounds and list of alphabets. I really understood how I couldn't get English skill.
Oh, I don't know about that. Yeah!! Let's eat sashimi!!!
It was a bit difficult to get raw fish as sashimi in Washington D.C. area, so we had yearned for eating raw fish for a long time.
But......
This sashimi is.... flavorless...... I seemed to totally forget its taste.
I felt as if my sense of taste was running in my mind to find out sashimi's taste.
Now I've taken back sense of taste for it, but that was strange feelings.
2002年の年末〜2003年の年始に新年を迎えるべく旦那と共に日本へ戻った。 私にとって７ヶ月振りの日本だ。不思議に思ったのが、周りから聞こえてくる雑談と看板などがすぐに理解できたこと。日本語だもの当たり前か...。 アメリカにいる間、それらは単なる音とアルファベットの羅列としてしか認識できてなかったんだろうなぁ。 私の英語力のダメっぷりを物語っている。。。。
まぁ、それはさておき....
刺身食べよう！！
DCエリアは全く刺身が手に入らないという訳ではないんだけど、ちょっと難しい。なので、我々は長い間刺身に飢えていた。
しかし.... 味がしない..... というか、刺身の味を完全に忘れているみたいだ。
私の味覚が刺身の味を探し出そうと脳内を駆け巡っている感じがした。
今は味を認識することができるけれど、あれはすごく不思議な感覚でした。

Sorry, I haven't written any article for a while. I had been wondering what to write and having trouble with making a movie. Ahhh.... September is almost finish. Time flies!!! うわあ.. しばらく書いてませんでしたね。すみません。 何を書こうか迷っていたのと動画作成に手こずっておりました。なんせ動画作るの初めてなもんで。。。あぁぁ... ９月ももう終わりそうだ。。時間が経つのは早いなぁ〜！
Well, I'll take you to the palaces in France today. Our itinerary says, we'll visit Versailles Palace at first, next is the palace called Fontainebleau where Napoleon used to live, next is Palais Royal in Paris.
