I want to go for a drive!!

I sometimes feel like driving in America still now. Maryland has a richly nature, so driving there was so fun! A wide road. Animals beside the road. (I often saw some animals - raccoons, marmots, rabbits, deers, opossum and so on.) These things make me excited.
今でも時々、アメリカで運転したくなる。 Marylandは豊かな自然があって、その中を運転するのは楽しい。 広〜い道。 道路脇にいる動物達。（あらいぐま、マーモット、うさぎ、鹿、オポッサムなどなど。。）わくわくするんだよな〜。

Crabbing in "Point Look Out" 2

Thankfully, I got many crabs! hehehehe!!! (ﾟ∀ﾟ)ｱﾋｬﾋｬﾋｬﾋｬThe others also seemed to get a big bite.

We must release the crabs which are under the size of 5 inches.
As I told you before, blue crab is so aggressive that it is difficult to catch it, much less in the dark sky before the day break. So we tried to release small one after we caught them as

５インチ（12.5 cm）以下のカニはリリースしなければならない。
前にも言ったように、ブルークラブは非常に好戦的。まして夜明け前の暗闇で捕まえるのは困難を極める。なので、とりあえず獲れるだけ獲って、後から規格外のカニをリリースしようとした。
As the sun rose, crabs disappeared. It seemed to be time us to finish our fishing.
I felt so sleepy that I was idly standing..... yeah, I hadn't released small one yet.
Suddenly, someone said to me,"Show me crabs!!!" from behind me.
Woow!! You surprise me! I said so in Japanese.
うおう！びっくりした！と思わず日本語が出た。
It was a park ranger. Ahh... I was caught by park ranger...
After he went through the crabs I caught, I got my ID taken.
Everyone was frozen up....
日が高くなるにつれて、カニも釣れなくなってきた。そろそろ終わりかな〜.. と
ボケーっと突っ立っていたら、いきなり、「カニを見せろ！」との声。
うおお！びっくりした！ と振り返ったらパークレンジャーが...。何だか、私、捕まったようだ。獲ったカニをくまなくチェックされた後、IDを出せ！と言われ、出したら持っていかれちゃったよ。。。 固まる一同....。
Few minutes later, he came back to me with something document.
He ordered me to sign on it and.....
pay a $200 fine or go to the court!!
Pay $200 fine??? or court?? Who can come here so far place? I replied so in Japanese.
$200!?しかも裁判所来いって、こんな遠い所まで誰が来れるかってんだ！！？
と日本語で答えていた。
Noo----!!! I had absolutely not intend to violate, so I brought a measure to know how large crabs were. Although I pleaded that I was just about to release, he never allowed.
According to him, I should have released them as soon as I caught.
Afterwards, he threw the small crabs (including a subtle large) into the bay one after another, not only mine but also others.
Crabs... were thrown away... in an arc....
"Oh, no! my crabs... crabs!!!" I shouted so in my mind.
I had only 3 crabs.... and I had to pay a 200$ fine like that.
I'm really sorry but, my friends offered to share the fine. So we had to pay about $66 per 1 family, by my fault.... Ohh... I should have released them immediately.......
I'm really really sorry guys.
Anyway...
How expensive crabs those were!!!!
I suggest that we should call there " Point Watch Out".

数分後、パークレンジャーは何かの書類を携え戻ってきた。そこには...
「200$ の罰金を課す。 さもなくば裁判所へ行け。」と！！
ええぇー！？ 違反を犯すつもりは断じてないし、そのためにメジャーまで持参した。今、リリースするところなんすよ！！(in broken English) と弁明したが、獲ったらすぐに放さんといかんのじゃ！と全く聞き入れてもらえず。裁判って言ったって、遠いし、英語も満足に話せないのにどうやって戦えと？
仕方なく２００＄払う事にした。申し訳ない事に、友人家族が罰金をシェアをしてくださった。１家族あたり、約６６＄。私がすぐにリリースすればよかったものを.. ボケーッと立っていたばっかりに.....。 本当に申し訳なかったです。
そうこうしているうちに、パークレンジャーは捕獲したカニをぽーいぽーいと湾へ投げ入れ始めた。（ビミョーなサイズのカニも含む。）我が家のみならず、友人宅のも。
次々と 弧を描き、 飛んでゆく カニ....
ああぁぁ.. ウチのカニ.. カニがあぁ！！
こうしてウチの収穫は３匹のみとなった。１匹あたり約22＄。
なんちゅー高価なカニだ!? 上海ガニもビックリよ。
カニは、蒸したあとちまちまちまちま身をほじくり出し、残った殻でだしを取り、ぞうすいを作った。余す所無く利用した。
私にとって超高級蒸しガニとぞうすいとなった。
これからカニ釣りを企画しているMaryland在住の皆様、

It takes about 2 hours from Rockville by car and using interstate. As the sun rises, blue crabs disappear, maybe they hide under the rocky stretch. So we need to leave for there at midnight and fish them before the sun rises.

We left from our apartment at 2 AM with 2 families at that time.
How to fishing is very easy. Wind a line on chicken meats(drumstick is better. Oh, I think it was a little bit expensive for me as a bite...) and just throw it into the Bay, and you can get blue crabs.
But before enjoy the fishing, we must know what unlawful acts are.
釣りの方法は至って簡単。鶏肉（骨付き肉がいいでしょう。... 釣りの餌としては高価だな...。）に糸を巻き付け垂らすだけ。ザリガニ釣りの要領です。だがその前に、crabbing のルールについて知っておかねばならない。
Tips1. It is illegal to use This trap.
2.We must release these crabs....

Annapolis

This picture shows that Japanese tea ceremony was held at U.S. Naval Academy in Annapolis last week. According to the midshipmen who attended it, the taste of powdered green tea was so bitter. I was interested in this article, because I've just started learning the manners at the Japanese tea ceremony. It's pretty hard to learn it, but it's very interesting.
Today, I'll take you to Annapolis.
Annapolis
Annapolis is the capital of Maryland. It sits at south of Baltimore and running along the edge of the Chesapeake Bay. It is here that U.S. Naval Academy, St. John's College; one of America's first public educational institutions, are located.
It takes about 1 hour to get to Annapolis by car from Rockville.
Annapolis is a lovely place along the Chesapeak Bay. There are a lot of nice seafood restaurants. If you visit there, I recommend you to try boiled blue crabs. Blue crab is one of the specialty of Maryland.
And we can see many midshipmen(students at U.S. Naval Academy) here. The midshipmen worn the white uniform looked so bravely.
This Academy has turned out many famous people, Jimmy Carter, John McCain.
I hadn't known that a letter from Iwo Jima called "A note to Roosevelt"/ ルーズベルトニ与フル書" is archived here, until I saw the documentary program of "Letters from Iwo Jima" on TV.
It was written by Rinosuke Ichimaru, Vice Admiral Japanese Imperial Navy, to President Franklin Roosevelt. He wrote it in the dim tunnel at Iwo Jima and wanted to appeal to stop the war anymore. I've heard that the battle of Iwo jima was an all-out battle.
I'm interested in Mr. Ichimaru's miracle story related his sword.

アナポリスはメリーランドの州都で、チェサピーク湾に面した素敵な所です。ここで、たくさんの海軍兵学校の学生さん達に会うことができます。制服に身を包んだ学生さんはとても勇敢そうに見えました。
メリーランドはブルークラブと呼ばれるワタリガニが名物。茹でたてがおいしいんですよ。行った際にはぜひ、トライしてみてください。
アナポリス海軍兵学校には、ルーズベルトニ与フル書という、海軍中将市丸利之助氏がルーズベルト大統領に宛てた手紙が保管されています。（日本に帰国後、テレビで見て初めて知りました。） 硫黄島の戦いは壮絶なものだったと聞いた事があります。また、市丸氏の日本刀に関する不思議な話はとても興味深いです。

Oct. 2002I still remember that fear.
It was usual morning for me, except for many helicopters were hovering over the sky than usual. I never dreamed that a gun shooting had occurred beside in this peaceful Rockville and it would develop into a serial killing. It was so scared to go out. People disappeared from street, restaurants, and parks. It looked like a ghost town.
10 people were killed and 3 people were critical injured in the case.
Nothing is as sad thing as innocent people are killed only by wrong pleasure sinful person has.
It was the first time for me to notice that the cases related guns were immediate problem in America.
My sincere condolences for the death of victims.
