Flavorless!!

The end of 2002 to the beginning of 2003.I went back to Japan with my husband to spend new year's holiday. It was after an interval of 7 month for me.
I felt strange I could understand someone's chat and signboards easily. Of course, it was used Japanese. While I was in America, I couldn't take it very soon. I might I took all of it as just sounds and list of alphabets. I really understood how I couldn't get English skill.
Oh, I don't know about that. Yeah!! Let's eat sashimi!!!
It was a bit difficult to get raw fish as sashimi in Washington D.C. area, so we had yearned for eating raw fish for a long time.
But......
This sashimi is.... flavorless...... I seemed to totally forget its taste.
I felt as if my sense of taste was running in my mind to find out sashimi's taste.
Now I've taken back sense of taste for it, but that was strange feelings.
2002年の年末〜2003年の年始に新年を迎えるべく旦那と共に日本へ戻った。 私にとって７ヶ月振りの日本だ。不思議に思ったのが、周りから聞こえてくる雑談と看板などがすぐに理解できたこと。日本語だもの当たり前か...。 アメリカにいる間、それらは単なる音とアルファベットの羅列としてしか認識できてなかったんだろうなぁ。 私の英語力のダメっぷりを物語っている。。。。
まぁ、それはさておき....
刺身食べよう！！
DCエリアは全く刺身が手に入らないという訳ではないんだけど、ちょっと難しい。なので、我々は長い間刺身に飢えていた。
しかし.... 味がしない..... というか、刺身の味を完全に忘れているみたいだ。
私の味覚が刺身の味を探し出そうと脳内を駆け巡っている感じがした。
今は味を認識することができるけれど、あれはすごく不思議な感覚でした。
