Oh, Christmas is coming very soon! After wards, it's almost finish 2008! What was this year like for you? Time goes so fast! I really think it recently. We live now heading to the future, but I sometimes feel it a bit sad, because I feel like my American life is getting farther and farther.
But my American life won't fade away, no matter where I am, it will be shining, as long as I live now.
Well, let me put a movie I made. I'm driving on Rockville Pike from Grosvenor to Congressional Plaza.
Did you make or buy a Christmas Cake? I think I'll have to try to make it one day. It's very similar to my favorite cake, Angel Food cake with Cool Whip and strawberries.
I hope the New Year treats you well and may you have many things to write about!.
Nice video, especially the music. If you're driving who is shooting the video? Or are you doing both? 8^)
Christmas had gone already, so the time goes fast like arrow, as you said.
I have to put away Christmas tree and little Santa with many happy memories in my house, to welcome a New Year.
And then the New Year will give me new happy memories.
You should get new happy memories too.
Thank you for your comment! New year's day will come soon!
On Christmas day, I baked a cake. How was your Christmas?
Thank you for your compliment on my video. ;) When shooting video, I did BOTH!!
Sorry! just kidding. I usually drove a car and I asked my husband to shoot my favorite view.
About that music on the video, it's by music band named "Monkey Majik". The song is "Fly". Yeah, it's not "Magic" but "Majik" The vocalist is a Canadian, he used to be an ALT (Assistant Language Teacher) at junior high school or high school in Japan, but now he has become a musician.
Thank you for your comment.
I guess you had a busy time to prepare for the end of the year. I hope you have a relax time now. Did you clean up your room? I managed it, but I actually haven't put away my christmas tree. It may sound like lazy, but I was taught that Christmas trees should put until 7th of January, otherwise it's regarded as a bad luck.
So I haven't taken down it yet. But I just feel it troublesome to take it away, probably. hehehe.
Belated Merry Christmas wishes to you, Eko! I guess I'm not really late, though, considering you seem to know about the 12 days of Christmas!
I'm glad to know that someone in Japan will keep their tree up until Christmastide is truly over. Some might call it laziness, but to me it seems very brave and noble in a way, taking a stand and declaring that year-end cleaning is not more important than Christmas. ^_^
Happy New Year! Oh, sorry for the late reply.
How was your holidays? I hope this year is great for you!
My christmas tree is brought from the US. I bought it at Target in Washingtonian Center after Christmas. Yes! after Christmas is "good price" for me. I also bought ornaments at K-mart and Michael's in reasonable price, so when I saw the advertisement that christmas trees and same ornaments are sold in unbelievable high price in Japan, I cannot help gloating at it. hehe!
This Christmas tree is 5 feet and half tall so that it's a bit big to stand in Japanese narrow rooms, but it makes us happy every year.
I lived in Rockville, MD for 3 years and half. Despite the fact I'm poor at English.... I try to write about memories of life in the U.S to practice English. Maybe you will find many mistakes on it, so please correct them!
