Although Washington DC area is very very cold in this season, I loved that exhilarant atmosphere through Thanks Giving to Christmas. People look so happy by holiday season and it makes me happy,too.
In Washington DC, Christmas tree is illuminated in front of Capitol Hill every year. It was so beautiful.
We can enjoy 2 Christmas trees. The one is in front of Capitol Hill, and the other one is at National Mall. The above is at National Mall. This Christmas tree is designed by the first lady. I took this picture in 2003, so it was designed by Laura Bush. Next year it will be designed by the new first lady Michelle Obama.

Have you considered turning on CAPTCHAs for comments? I think most spammers are lazy and use automated spamming programs that don't know how to do CAPTCHAs, so that might stop them from bothering you.
