The coldest place I've ever been

It's really really... cold this year, isn't it? There were exceptionally some snowfall days around Tokyo area, so the traffic had some trouble.I'll tell you about the coldest place I've ever been today.
The place is Alaska.
Alaskan Air Line at Anchorage Air Port
I went on a trip to Alaska to see the northern lights. It took about 10 hour to get to Fairbanks, Alaska from Washington D.C. by air plane. We made a connection at Anchorage for Fairbanks.

°゜.I'm shuddering from cold!!!Once I went outside, I found my jeans was getting firm like freezing. It was so cold that I thought my nose and ears would come off by frost. Although it was still early afternoon when I got to Alaska, it was almost like evening. Because Alaska is high latitudes,the daytime is very short in the winter.
We stayed at Chena hot springs resort for ４ days ３ nights. There was staff can speak Japanese, so I had no trouble to contact.
What a relief!

Yesterday, we were talking about a prediction by Mayan.According to the prediction, the world will perish in 2012.
It's not so far. It's only 4 years later...
I concerned that if we couldn't stop progress of global warming any more, it might become a reality.
Anyway, I guess American president has a great influence on all over the world. I hope American president will exercise leadership in solving the problem of global warming.
Talking of president, I found a funny movie.
A leader is sometimes needed a great leadership as well as such kind of humor like this.
I sometimes visited around White House, but we couldn't enter White House.
White House didn't accept any tour while I lived in the U.S., because it was after 911. It was not only White House but also FBI.
However if we had an invitation from a
As long as I read the home page of White House, it seems to difficult to visit.
We are needed strict security check and we must answer some questions in advance.
I wonder if the tour to visit FBI has been started again.

Ahh,,, My birthday is coming about 30 minutes later.... I'm not so glad to get old.('A`;)It's 3rd times to have my birthday after came back to Japan.
I never dreamed that I would try to study English and write a blog about this time last year. No one can know what's happens next.
If I didn't go to there, what I would do this time.
Anyway, I want to say thank to kanason who prompted me to make this blog.
It has been almost 1 year since I've started study English. I wonder if my English proficiency is getting better? I hope it's better than before.
I wish I can find something new this year.

Now, the topic about primary election is one of the most interesting topics in the U.S. Barack Obama gained a victory in Washington D.C., Maryland, Virginia this time.
I can remember that John Kerry won the primary election in D.C. area in 2004. Which candidates will be elected as president do you think?

Which do you think that it is certainly fate or just only by chance? I think there is an opinion of pros and cons. In my opinion, I hope there is fate and miracle in the world. Because I think it may be a kind of fate that I lived in America and I could meet many good friends through the experience. Of course including you!

何だか最近、やらなければならないことがたくさんあって、頭が飽和状態なので英文が思いつきません....。で、思いっきりアメリカとは関係ない話をします。
「バレンタイン」という文字を見ると「バンアレン帯」という言葉が思い浮かんできます。

Do you like baseball? I used to play softball in my junior high., so I like baseball.I'm a fan of the baseball team named Hanshin Tigers!
I told you once before about ＊Dupont Circle, there is a Japanese sushi bar named "Sushi Taro/寿司太郎” in Dupont Circle.
And there is a Japanese sushi chef, to tell the truth, he used to be a professional baseball player at Hanshin Tigers before. He played pitcher.

The Sushi chef, his name is Takashi Inomata. He originally went to America to play baseball at minor league, but he wasn't fully satisfied with his result. By chance, he was introduced the job for sushi chef.
He was originally left-handed, however he has changed his dominant hand to right hand to make sushi. That's why, he is called as "The Jimi Hendrix of sushi bar" by Washington Post.

猪俣投手。背番号「２５」そして、がんばれイノマティという漫画があったのを私は覚えている。寿司太郎に行くと、やはり元野球選手というだけあってかなり大柄な方なのですぐに分かります。もともとサウスポーだったのを、寿司を握るため右利きに直したというエピソードはワシントンポスト紙に紹介され、「すし界のジミ・ヘンドリクス」と称されたそうです。
毎年桜の時期になると、ワシントンDCでは桜祭りが開催されます。そこでの寿司の露店でも猪俣氏は活躍していました。タイガースのハッピを着ていたのですぐ分かりました。やはりそのハッピの背番号は２５でしたね。(でも、200３年当時の背番号２５と言えば濱中か？でもご自身のだよね。)
友達が、ある機会に猪俣氏に会った事があるそうで、その時の猪俣氏は野球のことより寿司について熱く語っていたそうです。
そう！2003年といえば、阪神が18年振り悲願のリーグ優勝に湧いた年でした。ようやくカーネルサンダースの呪いが解けたんだ...。
遠いアメリカの地で一人嬉しさを噛み締めていました。今すぐ甲子園に行って歓喜に湧いたトラキチに混ざりた〜い！！とアメリカにいるのがものすごく歯痒かったです。
フランスではセーヌ川に飛び込んだファンもいたとか..。 よ〜し私もポトマック川ダイブだ！と一瞬思いました。でも日本の恥を晒す訳にはいきませんもんね。。。危ないし...。WashingtonDC近郊在住者のための某生活掲示板に確か、阪神優勝オフ会の呼びかけがあったような記憶が...。場所は寿司太郎だったかな。。
更に、Rockvilleの隣にあるBethesdaという所には「だるま」という日本食材店があって、そこでも日本本土に負けじと阪神優勝セールをやっていました。（しかし酒類はセール対象外だったのでガッカリ...。）
