Hey guys! I'm coming back here to get a driver's license today!!
I'll beat you MVA Today!!!
I sat at the screen and tried to work out. I had no mistakes and went smoothly.
and
I finally....
I passed the written test at last!!!!
When I tried the road test, a middle aged guy at information desk, who knows about Japanese very well said to me, " If you failed the road test, you'll be taken by Sadako!!"
Huhh!! Sadako!? How spooky!!
It was so scared, but.....
I passed the Road test also!!
I did it at last!!! I could get over it!!!
I was sooooo...... glad enough to cry.

Maryland's license plate.
It's not actually my license plate. We must return it to MVA in Maryland, when we leave from the US, so I got it on line.
When I got my driver's license, an ending theme of video game which was my favorite sprang up my mind. I felt a sense of achievement as same as when I managed to beat the last boss at the video game.
Yes! I managed it!!
It took almost 1 year to get it, I actually had to get it in 1 month after moving to the US.
MVA was a tough opponent for me.
Here's my feeling when I managed to get my driver's license.
免許きたあああぁああー！ やっと取れた！くー！取得に約１年かかりました。
本当はアメリカに引っ越して１ヶ月以内に取らないといけないんですけどネ。。。
ロードテストに臨む際に、インフォメーションの知日派のおっちゃんが、「ロードテストに落ちたら、お前は貞子に連れて行かれるぞ！」と冗談を言っていた。ははは。こ、怖いなあ。
免許証を手にしたとき、何だか、テレビゲームのラスボスを倒した時のような達成感が沸き上がり、とあるゲームのエンディングテーマが脳内に流れました。
あぁ、やっと取れた。。。。MVAは強敵だった。

I came back here MVA to take a written test again on the day "Tomorrow" as they said. I'll beat..... no no, Would you let me beat you today? please!!
今日こそ倒す... いや、 免許を取らせていただけないでしょうか？ お願いします!!
But....
MVA was closed because of Veteran's Day.
Yes, completely closed!!!
This is exactly what I had been concerned. The day "Tomorrow" they told me was a public holiday called as Veteran's Day. Because they told me to come here that day, I thought MVA would be opened despite the holiday.
Shoot!! Give me a break!!!!
I was tooooo angry to control myself. Then I kicked at the handrail of the stairs to the entrance. not low kick, but high kick like a fighter.
The handrail made a sullen sound "Do--ng........"
My leg was.... very painful.
My husband was frozen up seeing my stupid action.....
I couldn't even enter to inside of the building this time.
I bumped against the closed door at MVA and then I broke into pieces.
I might I should have confirmed about that more particular. Although I knew everything might be not MVA's fault, I couldn't help feeling upset. It was sure that I hadn't done well against MVA.
「"明日”来い。」と言われたので行ってみたよMVA。
そしたら閉まってやがりましたよMVA。
私が心配していたのはこのこと。"その日”というのはVeteran's Dayと呼ばれる休日だったからですよ。 でも来いと言うものだから、てっきり休日でもMVAは開いているかと思ったよ。ああ、私がもっと深く確認するべきだったかもしれない。だけどね、いい加減なんだよ！！こんな応対でいいのかMVA？ええっ！？ホント勘弁して欲しい。
私は怒りが抑えられなくなり、こんちくしょー！とばかりに入り口にある階段の手すりに蹴りをくらわせた。格闘家の如くハイキックで。（ええ、完全なる八つ当たりです。）
手すりは、ごぉ〜ん...と鈍い音を立てた。
脚が.. ものすごく痛かった。
夫は...私の暴挙を見て、固まっていた。
かくして、テストを受けるどころか、
建物の中にすら入ることもできずMVAのドアにぶち当たり、玉砕。
MVAがすべて悪い訳ではないんだけど腹立つわ〜。
私とMVAとの相性が悪い事は確かだ。

I still remember how to get to MVA (Gaithersburg Branch Office) from Rockville. Get on I-270 North towards Frederick and then take exit number 10 to get on Clopper Road. Go straight on this road and you can find MVA on your right side.I'll beat you MVA today!!!!
私はまだRockvilleからMVA(Gaithersburg 支店)への行き方を覚えている。I-270 North(ハイウェイの名前)をFrederick方面へ、10番出口で下りClopper Roadへ、この道をしばらく進むと右手側にMVAが見えてくる。
今日ーこそは免許取ってやる、見てろMVA!!!
Here is the textbook for Driver's License. 悔しいから持って帰って来た。勉強はしてないけどねー。
After I failed the last written test, I studied it again more harder using this textbook as above, so I had a confidence a bit for the 2nd trial. Oh, I have to tell you about another tip for the test, before you try it.
There is a time limit. You have to finish it up within 15 minutes.
If you couldn't finish it up within 15 minutes, you must give it up, even if you have no mistakes. When time is up, the screen of the test machine will be suddenly shut down and say to you,
"You Failed"おとといきやがれ。
Me? Yeah! I get off to a good start. I have no mistakes now!! HEHEHE!!!!
I thought so at first, but,,,,,,
The phrase and terms on the questions became more and more difficult for me. When I found another new phrase or terms, it made me confusing.
As I waved, time went quickly. and then...........
The screen said to me again, "You Failed!" Ahhhh..... I failed it again.... orz
再度筆記試験に臨むべく、再びMVAに乗り込んだ。一生懸命勉強してきたので、今回は多少自信があった。おっと、試験に臨む前に別の注意事項を１つ。試験は１５分以内に終わらせないとならない。たとえノーミスであっても時間を過ぎてしまうと、スクリーンは突如消え、「You Failed おとといきやがれ。」と再度告げるだろう。
お、今回は順調な滑り出し！ノーミスだし。フヒヒヒ。
と思っていたら、だんだんと表現や専門用語が難しくなってきた。。。こんな言い回し知るかいな...。迷えば迷うほど時間はどんどん過ぎていった....。そして、時間制限によりあえなく撃沈。MVAのマットに再び沈んだ。orz....
I asked the information desk when to try it again.
The desk said to me, "Tomorrow." Tomorrow..... I made a same question to another person again to confirm. He also told me to come here "Tomorrow". umm... Tomorrow..... Okay, I can try it tomorrow, can't I?
But I was concerned whether I can really try it again "tomorrow"as they said. Because....

再試の日程をインフォメーションデスクに確認したら「明日。」と言われた。
確認のため、別の人にも同じ質問をした。やっぱり「明日来い。」と言われた。
う〜ん、明日....。明日できるんだよね?
しかし、私は本当に彼らが言ったその”明日”に再試ができるのか心配だった。
なぜなら.....。

As you know, I had to take an Alcohol and Drug test again.Yeah, I'll never mistake Marijuana for someone woman's name any more. Marijuana is name of a drug, right? Yes, I completely learnt it!
I tried that test again and then...
Yes! I did it! I got a License of Alcohol and Drug. Okay, next....
Hey! I'll beat you MVA today! 今日こそ免許取ってやる！見てろMVA!
I could finally pass the desk at MVA.
The way of testing is using machine- it looked like a video game machine at the amusement arcade. And we have to chose a correct answer from 4 alternatives. When you try it, you can mistake until 2 mistakes. But if you make more than 3 mistakes, you will have to be finished it. The screen will suddenly shut down leaving a message to you as below,
"You Failed" 残念でした。
How was the result?
Ahhh..... I failed it. HAHAHA........ orz
Ahh.... It is really long way to get a driver's license for me! I should study it again more harder! I'll beat it next time!!
アルコールドラッグライセンスの期限切れにより再テストに臨んだ。ええ、もう"Marijuana マリファナ"を人名だと思い込むミスはしないですよ。ふふ。
改めて取得したアルコールドラッグライセンスを手に、筆記試験に臨むべく、再びMVAへ私は殴り込みをかけた。 テストの形式は機械による４択問題。機械はなんかゲームセンターのゲーム機のような感じ。しかし、３つ以上間違えると画面は突如消え、「You Failed」のメッセージのみ残し強制退去を命ぜられる。
え、私の結果？ああ、落ちましたさ。。。あははは。つ、次こそは!!
免許への道のりはまだまだ遠い......。ガンダーラへの旅はまだまだ続くのでした。

Long way to get a Driver's License 3 *Expired!!?

I had totally forgotten that I had stuff to do. It was to get a driver's license.As I told you once before, I couldn't take a test because of the imperfection in documents, so I asked SUNTRUST bank to make my checkbook. The check book also can be used as a certification form. However, it took a long time to get. I had lost my motivation for driver's license while I was made to wait for getting it. But that was only an excuse. You know,,,,,,
No other unwelcome stuff is as taking a test in English as person who is poor at English.......
Well, let me mention about my process.
1, Taking a knowledge test about Alcohol and
↓
2, Taking Law test at MVA → Failed because of the imperfection in documents.
↓
I was made to wait for getting new documents.
↓
I had stayed indoors for a long time because of the fear by the serial shooting.

3, This time
Better luck this time! I tried it again, thinking so. but........

the desk said so to me. Wha━━ΣΣ(ﾟДﾟ；)━━aaat!!? 何イィィー!!? Expired????
It seemed that it had already expired while I let it left for a long time. I didn't notice about that. I couldn't get a chance for the test again like this...... and I was very disappointed that I had to take an Alcohol and
Although that was my fault, I really fed up with it.

＊今までの経過＊ in Japanese
Maryland で運転免許を取得するには、まずアルコールとドラッグに関するテストを受け、修了証を取得しなければならない。後日、MVAで（交通センターみたいなところ。）学科試験、路上試験を受け、それぞれ合格すれば免許を取得できる。
１、まず、誰も落ちる人はいないと言われているアルコール・ドラッグテストに見事に落ち、自分一人残され泣く泣く再テストを受ける。
２、学科試験に臨む前に、受付で自分の名前と住所が記載されている書類２通を提示しないとならない。試しにディズニーランドの宣伝手紙を持って行ったら、公式な書類ではないとの理由により不受理。テストを受ける事無く追い返される。
３、銀行にて自分用の小切手の作成を依頼。（これも証明書類として使える。）だが、完成に時間が掛かる。仕事が遅いんだよなぁ....。その間連続銃撃事件が起こり、しばらくヒキコモリになる。と同時にモチも下がりまくる。
で、ようやく揃った書類２通を手に、再度学科試験に臨んだ訳ですが、長いこと放置している間に、唇噛み締めて取得したアルコールドラッグ修了証の期限が既に切れていた。。。。再び書類不備とされ、試験を受ける事無くあえなく撃沈。再び、アルコールドラッグテストを受ける羽目となる。
さあ、いつになったら運転免許を取得できるのか？
クロノトリガーのテーマソングと共に妙な闘争心が沸いてきたのでした。
